The basics done well. That is the heart of what we do at Bite Club. Six-month cleanings, thorough exams, digital X-rays, and the kind of preventive care that keeps small problems from turning into big ones. Our office sits at 1908 N Western Ave, a short walk from the Western Blue Line, and we see Bucktown neighbors alongside patients from Wicker Park, Logan Square, and Humboldt Park.
Dr. Nga Huynh and the team practice general dentistry the way it should be practiced: carefully, gently, and without the lecture about flossing more. We focus on what your mouth actually needs and explain it in plain English.
General dentistry is the foundation of every smile. It is the routine work that protects your teeth and the diagnostic work that catches problems early, when they are cheaper and easier to fix.
A typical visit with us looks like this:
If you have been away from the dentist for a while, that’s fine. No lectures. We start with where you are now and build a plan that fits your life and budget.
Bite Club opened in 2022 because Dr. Huynh wanted a practice that felt like the neighborhood it serves. Independent, woman-owned, and not corporate. The kind of place where you actually leave your appointment knowing what’s going on with your teeth.
A few things patients tell us they appreciate:

Our patients are a mix. Lifelong Bucktown residents, tech and creative professionals working from home offices in Logan Square, parents juggling kid schedules, and people who haven’t seen a dentist in five years and feel a little awkward about it. None of that fazes us.
Most people come in for one of these reasons:

The basics: cleanings, exams, X-rays, and the preventive work that catches problems early. Our dental exam and cleaning is the starting point for every new patient, with periodontal screening and oral cancer checks built in.

Tooth-colored fillings handle most cavities, small chips, and aesthetic refreshes on front teeth. They bond to the tooth, blend with your enamel, and don’t carry the metallic look of older silver fillings.
See our composite restoration page for the full breakdown.
When a cavity is too big for a filling or a tooth has cracked, a crown protects what’s left. Bridges fill the spaces left by missing teeth using the neighbors as anchors. Both are color-matched and custom shaped.

The work that’s about how your smile looks: whitening, bonding, veneers, and full smile design. We plan cosmetic cases conservatively, doing the least amount of work needed for the result you actually want.

Procedures beyond routine dentistry: pulling teeth that can’t be saved, removing wisdom teeth, placing implants. Most surgical work happens in our office, with careful planning and clear post-op guidance.
See our oral surgery page for procedure details.
Jaw pain, chronic headaches, clicking sounds, or trouble chewing usually trace back to the TMJ. We assess what’s behind the symptoms and build treatment around the cause, not just the discomfort.

When decay reaches the inner pulp, a root canal saves the tooth instead of pulling it. With local anesthetic and microscope-assisted work, the procedure is more comfortable than its reputation suggests.

Clear aligners that move teeth into position without metal brackets. They’re removable for meals, easy to clean, and most people don’t notice you’re wearing them.

Twice a year works for most people. If you have a history of gum disease or higher decay risk, we may suggest every three or four months. We'll tell you straight what your situation calls for.
We accept most PPO insurance plans. Call us at (312) 602-0036 with your policy details and we'll verify what is covered before your appointment. No surprises at checkout.
Not for us. Plenty of our patients fall into that category. We start with a full exam, walk through what we find, and build a plan that doesn't require fixing everything in one visit.
No. We take X-rays based on your individual risk and what we can see clinically. For low-risk patients, that is typically every 18 to 24 months for routine bitewings. We don't take X-rays you don't need.
A standard cleaning runs about 45 to 60 minutes. New patient appointments take longer because we add a full exam, X-rays, and time to talk through your dental history.
Tell us before your appointment so we can plan around it. We go slow, explain everything, and stop if you need a break. You're not the first nervous patient we've seen and you won't be the last.
